The Profoto Umbrella Diffuser softens and spreads the light in a similar way to a softbox. The Small 85cm will give a similar light spread as an Octa softbox of similar size but as the light is reflected into the umbrella is even softer than a direct softbox. Also very quick to set up and more portable to travel with.
