Definitions

‘Hirer’ ‘The Hirer’ refers to person, person’s, company or entity hiring the equipment from Red Brick Studios Pty Ltd

‘Equipment’ refers to any equipment hired from Red Brick Studios Pty Ltd

‘Us’ & ‘Our’ refers to Red Brick Studios Pty Ltd

 

All prices quoted are excluding GST so attract an additional 10% on the total.

A one day hire period is 24 hrs. Equipment returned late without prior arrangement will be charged at the daily rate.

Cancellations

Once your equipment hire has been booked we may then be turning away other clients wanting that same equipment therefore if a confirmed booking is cancelled within 48 hrs of your booking a cancellation fee of 50% of the total will be charged. If cancelled within 24 hrs of your booking a 100% of the total fee will be charged.

Payment Terms

Once you confirm your booking we will send you an invoice and full payment is required prior to the commencement, pick-up or delivery of your equipment.  For regular clients we are happy to set up a trading account so please enquire with us if this is required. Payments can be made either by EFT or EFTPOS. We accept Visa, Mastercard & Amex (2% fee applies to all cards).

Insurance

TERMS & CONDITIONS LOSS & DAMAGES: An insurance waiver fee of 7.85% (based on 1x day total of equip. hire excl. GST) is charged on all hires for loss or accidental damage providing ALL DUE CARE IS TAKEN BY THE HIRER. An excess of 25% of the total replacement value of the goods (including shipping) will be charged on all claims over $1000. For claims under $1000. a 35% excess will be charged. IF AN INSURANCE WAIVER FEE IS NOT CHARGED the hirer is responsible for paying FULL REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT COSTS.

If equipment is being used on sand, damp ground, muddy conditions or in rain etc. it is the hirers responsibility to protect it (including bags and cases) with tarps or towels etc. A cleaning fee of $150.00 will be charged if equipment needs to be cleaned. By accepting our quote or completing a hire order you acknowledge you have read and agreed to our T&C’s.

NOTE: Equipment is to be covered up at all times if left in a vehicle. Equipment is NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE IF LEFT IN A VEHICLE between the hours of 7.00pm – 7.00am whether the vehicle is locked or not.

Any theft or loss claims are to be backed up with a police report or in the case of loss while in transit is to be backed up with a claim from the Airline or transport company. Cameras and lenses are to taken on-board aircraft as carry-on only. All due care must be taken in handling and storage including hiding it from view while in vehicles whether locked or not.

 

HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE!

No coverage is provided, irrespective of whether a insurance waiver fee has been paid or not, for equipment that is used in hazardous situations including but not limited to: on or near sand, water, dust, mud or corrosive vapours, when the equipment is in the air, such as on or in a helicopter, drone, or charter aircraft, attached to the outside of a moving vehicle including remote-controlled, being used in water housings, stunts or other hazardous activities.

Equipment must be protected from rain and other corrosive or damaging elements such as sand, dust, mud, corrosive vapours etc.  If working on beaches or muddy/dusty surfaces tarps or towels are to be laid down to place stands and other equipment on.

A minimum cleaning fee of $150.00 will be charged if equipment is returned dirty.

 

Irrespective of whether a insurance waiver fee has been paid or not The Hirer is entirely liable for replacement or repair costs arising from loss or damage or liability of any kind directly or indirectly caused or contributed to or arising from equipment being left unattended, misuse, malicious damage, third party electrical damage, exposure to salt and salt air, exposure to water, exposure to dust or sand, equipment not being used in accordance to the manufacturers manuals and instructions.

General

Equipment is not to be leased or sub-leased.

Equipment is not to be taken out of Australia without prior agreement with Red Brick Studios

Equipment is not to be left with Hotel staff or in Hotel luggage rooms for collection by Red Brick Studios – a client contact person needs to hand the equipment back to a Red Brick Studios staff member for pre-arranged collection.

Our equipment is fully maintained in good working order and our electrical leads are all tagged by a qualified electrician. In the event of equipment failure during your hire we will endeavour to replace the equipment as soon as we possibly can (if replacement equipment is available) in order for your shoot to continue with the least amount of disruption.

Indemnity

The Hirer agrees to indemnify Red Brick Studios Pty Ltd from any liability as far as injury, lost time, inability to shoot or any other expenses incurred as a result of using our equipment.
