Fashion Photography with Ian Golding

Ian Golding has been a Brisbane based fashion & beauty Photographer for the last 25yrs and is regarded as one of Australia's foremost hair & beauty photographers. Ian's photography has helped many hairdressers win major hairdressing competitions & awards nationally and in fact Ian has been associated with winning every competition in Australia several times. Ian is the only photographer ever to be inducted into the Australian Hairdressers Hall of Fame for his lifetime achievements in the hairdressing industry. Ian's work is constantly being published in magazines in Australia and around the world having many front covers as well as editorial spreads.

In Brisbane Ian has been highly regarded in the fashion industry for his work and for helping young designers to get started. Ian also designs and produces fashion catalogues, magazines ads and much more for the local fashion industry and is the official event photographer for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane.

Ian is more than a fashion photographer for his clients, as well as shooting stunning images, Ian helps with marketing advice, concept and design management plus has an in depth knowledge of fashion trends.

Ian's seminar will take you through his career from the beginning till where he is now and having had no formal training in photography, computer skills or graphic design makes Ian's story an interesting one. Ian will show much of his best work, explain how he achieves the results and how he has integrated digital capture into his business. There will be a full demonstration of an actual fashion shoot with models, makeup artists and stylists all working together with Ian in a studio set up. Photoshop plays a major role in the digital workflow and Ian will explain and show how he works with this creative tool.
